Masjid Al Rahman
Minnesota’s first purpose-built masjid, established in 1999, now serving over 700 families with daily prayers and Qur’an education.
About this masjid
Masjid Al Rahman: Built by Faith, United in Community.
Masjid Al Rahman was founded out of a deep need for a place of worship in the southern suburbs of Minneapolis, where early Muslim families once gathered in homes and community centers to pray. Officially opened in 1999 during Ramadan, it became Minnesota’s first purpose-built masjid — built from the ground up by the local community. Today, it stands as a thriving hub of prayer, learning, and service, welcoming over 700 families and thousands of visitors each week, and continuing to grow with the grace of Allah.
