About MAS MN
An Islamic revival and reform movement
MAS Minnesota is committed to making Minnesota a better place for all Minnesotans through religious programming, social services, and civic engagement.
Our History
Rooted nationally, grown locally
The Muslim American Society was founded nationally in 1993 as a religious, cultural, and social organization. Over three decades it has grown into a recognized grassroots movement with a presence across the country. MAS Minnesota is the Minnesota chapter — headquartered in St. Paul and serving families across the Twin Cities metro.
Today, MAS Minnesota oversees eight masajid, a full slate of religious and community programs, and a public affairs effort that makes it one of the most active Muslim civic organizations in the state.
What We Stand For
Core commitments
Interfaith Collaboration
From Ramadan Iftars to the Rabbi Imam Round Table, we build bridges across faith communities.
Social Services
The MAS MN Food Shelf and emergency-assistance fundraising help neighbors meet their most basic needs, regardless of faith.
Civic Participation
Non-partisan civic engagement and public affairs work, backed by the largest Muslim voter database in the state — 61,000 Muslim voters.
Youth & Education
Sunday school, mentorship, and retreats raise a confident next generation of Minnesota Muslims.
Organization
How we're organized
Leadership is centralized at our St. Paul headquarters, coordinating a network of eight masajid and community programs across the metro. Each masjid maintains its own local community while drawing on shared bureaus for khateebs, youth programming, and social services.
